1. Who We Are

2. What Data We Collect

This website sets no cookies and uses no advertising pixels. It uses one privacy-preserving analytics service, described in section 7. We collect personal data only when you voluntarily provide it:

• Contact enquiries: name and email address when you contact us directly by email.
• Calendly bookings: name, email, and calendar data processed by Calendly Inc. under their own privacy policy when you book a discovery call.
• Report downloads: the email address you enter to obtain the sample board report, together with the date and the country your request came from. We do not record your IP address or your browser. The address is stored in our own Cloudflare account and is not passed to any mailing platform.
• Client engagements: business contact details and pseudonymised staff data provided as part of a formal diagnostic or consulting engagement. This is governed by a separate Data Processing Agreement.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use personal data only for the purpose for which it was provided:

• To respond to enquiries and schedule discovery calls
• To deliver contracted diagnostic or consulting services
• To send information you have explicitly requested
• To know which organisations are reading our published work, and to follow up by email where that is useful

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling. Downloading a report does not enrol you in a mailing list or an automated sequence, and the report itself is delivered on the page rather than by email.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:

• Legitimate interests: responding to direct enquiries from business contacts
• Contract performance: processing data necessary to deliver agreed services
• Consent: where you have explicitly opted in to receive communications
• Legitimate interests: retaining the email address given in exchange for a report, so that we know who has read our published analysis. You may object to this at any time and we will delete the record.

5. Data Retention

Email addresses given in exchange for a report are deleted automatically 24 months after the request, without anyone having to remember to do it. Contact enquiry data is retained for up to 24 months, or until you request deletion. Client engagement data is retained for 7 years in line with UK business record-keeping requirements, then securely deleted. You may request deletion at any time for data not subject to a legal retention obligation.

6. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request erasure (the "right to be forgotten")
• Object to or restrict processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time (where consent is the legal basis)

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@thelabourprefect.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

7. Cookies

This website does not use cookies of any kind. No tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies are set. No consent banner is required because no cookies are deployed.

Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits to the site. It is cookieless and stores nothing on your device. It records the page visited, the referring site, your browser and operating system, your country, and page loading times. It does not use fingerprinting, does not follow you across other websites, and does not build a profile of you. We cannot identify individual visitors from it. Cloudflare, Inc. processes this data on our behalf under their own privacy policy. Because no cookies or device storage are involved, no consent banner is required for it either.

8. Third-Party Services

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., which also provides the analytics described in section 7 and processes the technical data needed to serve the site securely.

The site links out to Calendly (calendly.com) for meeting scheduling, and to LinkedIn and TikTok for professional networking. When you navigate to these services, their own privacy policies apply. TLP is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party platforms.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. Client engagement data is processed under a formal Data Processing Agreement with appropriate security controls agreed in advance of any data transfer.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our services develop or as legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of this website after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
